I’m so glad to hear that you haven’t experienced any theft since you moved to town. We feel very safe, as well. My husband and I had our house built in Old Town, and our builder had expected a lot of things to go missing from our construction site. We did not have a single item stolen. Not one. Georgetown is a wonderful place to live!

Maybe loosen up this site a bit. Like I said in my comment, I have had NOTHING stolen from me in Gtown in Five Years, so perhaps we are also trustworthy here to post a comment, sigt unseen???

My concerns with Statesman article don’t surround Rick’s refusal to speak to them; they are a partisan liberal paper, in on, say, lynching of Tom Delay by corrupt DA down there, and write front-page editorials, not news…So I can see why a person would avoid having his words twisted by them.

However, in excercising my liberal-to-English translator I’ve developed, (an internal one, but maybe it could be made into a computer program soon?) I also saw NOTHING about Ms. Eason’s intentions, but lots to concern me about her resume…

First, she wishes to be involved with commuter rail, which is highly contested, even WITH Obama destroying domestic car industry; and worse yet, she wishes “comprehensive” rail service. “Comprehensive” in terms of liberal-backed sex education, and immigration policy, and I assume many other issues, means, in a nutshell “proposing a course of action which has within itself the purpose of nullifying any positive impact of same action.” (e.g. telling children to wait until marriage, but handing them a condom; telling Mexican immagrants to consider themselves citizens with minimal paperwork, while leaving the border open, etc. etc.)

So, I wonder if, for instance, Georgetown, which I moved to for a larger house and possibly from some pressure from having lost THOUSANDS of dollars of equipment for my small business to theives in Austin over the years, and was pleasantly surprised to have lost NONE of here in Gtown, WHETHER Georgetown WANTS free roam for transients and malcontents from, say, San Antonio, and areas south of here before the immigration thing is figured out…

Additionally, other liberal buzz words in Statesman article gave no REAL history of candidate Eason, but raised flags with ME. For instance, she “served in many NON-PROFIT organizations. Which? What did she hope to accomplish? Non-Profit has a bad taste after seeing what ACORN has done in Thug Politics, rendering every election questionable, as responsible citizens wonder secretely if results were “in the margin of ACORN –I mean error…”

Speaking of ACORN, which will be in on the newly reassigned CENSUS, Ms. Eason is also involved in that census, which there is some concern will be skewed by democratic operatives under the new department assignment, and with help of, you guessed it, ACORN…

We are going to school admin. building to vote now, but these questions are enough to have me ready to vote for a dark horse, Ric, despite being able to find nothing about him, even on Dell World News website, but the aformentioned non-informative Statesman piece…But yes, I do wish Ric had found a forum; ’cause as a Dell person, he could have bought a web site and self-promoted if he had wished, I think. I WILL try to Google “ricspencer.com” just in case he did…Been trying Ric Spencer, Georgetown, etc.
