| We’re very fortunate here in Georgetown to have a thriving, active art community. We have many talented artists in town. One of my favorites - Jean Townsend - has decided to share her talents in a very generous way. She’s going to offer painting and drawing classes. I’ve already signed up for the Paint Your Pet class. I’m both excited and intimidated. Maybe I’ll do an impressionist sort of blurry picture of my dog. After all, he is always in motion. | |

| Jean is a master of the pet portrait (and the baby portrait). If you’re not interested in painting your own pet, have Jean do it for you. You can see a gallery of her work on her website. (Click pet portrait.) Her prices are very reasonable for original paintings. Amazing, actually. |  |
| Jean is an accomplished artist and a wonderful lady. She has a Master of Fine Arts, and experience as a professor. So you know she’s got the knowledge to teach. But her demeanor is the biggie for me. She’s calm, friendly, and has a quirky sense of humor. (Plus she loves my dog.) This class is going to be a lot of fun. Hope to see you there! | |
